
Hospital Customer Service Rep - Charlotte, NC
Job is located in Raleigh ,NC
Position Summary: This is an onsite Hospital Patient Accounting Representative position located in Raleigh, NC. The onsite representative will work directly with guarantors/patients to research and resolve questions and complaints in regard to business office operations.
- Responsibilities:
- Greet patients
- Discuss hospital policies such as financial assistance programs, payment plans and billing procedures in an effort to resolve patient accounts
- Explain insurance payments or denials, and take payment from guarantor/patient
- Review and process correspondence and attorney's requests
- Scanning and skip tracing
- Review and process financial assistance applications
Hours:
Monday Friday, 9:30 AM 6:00 PM
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years patient accounting experiencepreferably, hospital patient accounting. HBOC Star system experience a plus.
Skills/Aptitudes: Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills and the ability to act/decide accordingly. Ability to collect, create and research complex or diverse information. Exceptional customer service and the ability to plan organize and exercise sound judgment.
